To install a Themegild theme, download the zip file from your account, upload it in your Shopify admin under Online Store, then preview and publish it. The whole process takes a few minutes and does not change your live store until you publish.
How do you download the theme file?
- Sign in and open your account downloads.
- Find your product and choose the latest version.
- Save the zip file. Do not unzip it.
How do you upload it to Shopify?
- In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then Themes.
- Choose Add theme, then Upload zip file.
- Select the file you downloaded and wait for the upload to finish.
How do you preview and publish the theme?
The new theme appears in your theme library. Choose Customize to edit it in the theme editor. When you are happy with it, choose Publish. Until then your current theme stays live.
What if the upload fails?
- Check that you uploaded the original zip and did not unzip it first.
- Make sure your store has room in its theme library.
